Avoid repeated sufferings - why daily quiet moments is sanity saver

It pains me to see people go through same cycles of suffering over and over again 💔

The moment they come to a point - a point where the pain is dense - the tendency to escape the pain quickly puts them back to seek for the familiar options - even though those familiar options have been chosen over and over again, and shown to be not working.

It pains me to see the forgetfulness of my fellow human beings, the intolerance of pains, and the short of ability to think and feel deeply in order to allow a deeper wisdom to emerge.

Is it possible - the tendency to avoid pains is, ironically, the main contributor to our own sufferings?

Pains are our teachers in life, they are the means for us to learn from. Running into a pain and not learn from it is a waste of the experience of the pain, and prompts us to face it again later.

If someone trips on their shoe lace often and fall - because the way they tie their shoe lace is easy to go loose.Every time they fall and get up, they tie their shoe lace back the same way they did before, not bothering to learn any new or more robust ways to tie their shoes. You can see - they are going to fall again and again.

Yet this is what happens in life often. We don't learn, even though the event has presented itself over and over again.

How much can we be present in our own lives? To be attentive of the signals that are happening all around us, and to extract the learnings from our daily experiences? ❤️
